Lucy &#038

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 3 months

Lucy & Lotty ca. July 2025 & April 2026 female tricolor indoor with secure balcony Home wanted! Lucy, about one year old, and her daughter Lotty, about 14 weeks old, are a well-matched mother-daughter duo that will only be adopted together. The two cats are very attached to each other and enjoy every minute they spend together. Both cats are affectionate, clingy, and playful. Lucy loves her humans' company, often demanding attention, cuddling extensively, and playing with great enthusiasm. She is also very talkative and loves to follow her owner everywhere. Lotty is a small whirlwind and is very similar to her mother in nature. Children already know the two and get along well with them. Currently, Lucy and Lotty can be left alone for a maximum of four hours. A home in indoor housing, ideally with a secure balcony or a secure terrace, is sought, where the two can safely enjoy the fresh air. At the time of their move, Lucy and Lotty are spayed, vaccinated once, dewormed twice, and microchipped. Both are slender, lightweight cats and are currently living in a foster home, where they can be met. They are ready to move into their new home immediately. NOTE: Young cats are not adopted for single housing! Kittens absolutely need similar-aged company in the same household to grow up healthy. Cats are generally very social animals and become lonely if they are not properly socialized at a young age. Adopt, don't shop! Adopt instead of buying! Adopt, don't shop! Adoptieren statt Kaufen! About Lucy &#038

What life with Lucy &#038 looks like

Lucy &#038 is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lucy &#038, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lucy &#038?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lucy &#038 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lucy &#038 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lucy &#038 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lucy &#038 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lucy &#038 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
