Adopt Lucynka

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

There are dogs that shut down after experiences... and there is Lucynka. She did the exact opposite - decided to enjoy life for all of us! She is about 7 years old and has energy that could make even a younger soul envious. She is a volcano of positive energy - always ready for a walk, play, and small (or bigger 😉) craziness. If you have a bad day, Lucynka is your natural antidepressant. Seriously. Health status: vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, has a scheduled surgery for hernia removal. We are looking for a home for her that not only loves her but can keep up with her joy of life. Lucynka, I am just getting to know the world and needs a calm introduction to relationships with new people and dogs. At first, she may react by barking at things she doesn't know - it's her way of dealing with uncertainty. She needs a caregiver who will show her that the world is not scary, but interesting and safe. _______________________________________ Remember: the description was created based on observations of the dog in shelter conditions and during walks with volunteers. After adoption, her behavior may change - often for the better, but new challenges may also appear. It is a natural process of adaptation.

Jeśli masz gorszy dzień – Lucynka to Twój naturalny antydepresant. Serio. Stan zdrowia: zaszczepiona, zaczipowana, wysterylizowana, ma zaplanowany zabieg usunięcia przepukliny. Szukamy dla niej domu, który nie tylko ją pokocha, ale też nadąży za jej radością życia. Lucynka, poznaję dopiero świat i potrzebuje spokojnego wprowadzenia w relacje z nowymi ludźmi i psami. To naturalny proces adaptacji.

About Lucynka

What life with Lucynka looks like

Lucynka is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lucynka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lucynka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lucynka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lucynka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lucynka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lucynka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lucynka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
