Luky

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Luky is heading straight to his forever home! His story: Whirlwind Luky is a true ray of sunshine. Wherever the little mouse appears, she spreads joy and sets a lightning-fast pace. It's hard to believe that our Luky was found on a dump, as nothing about her reminds us of that grim start to life. The charming young female dog is extremely open with people and ready to share her little heart with a two-legged friend. At just 2.5 months old, Luky is at the beginning of her life. Everything is new, everything is exciting. Currently, she loves to whirl around and flit about with cuddly toys. The puppy ABC needs to be slowly and gently learned by Luky. Here, patience and empathy should be at the top of the list, because puppies can sometimes test the nerves of their owners. Additionally, the little magic paw will enter puberty in a few months. This time of hormonal transition often leads to forgetting and mixing up what has been learned, as much is going on in that little head. When the time is over, there will be much to celebrate, as Luky will grow up to be a loyal and reliable companion. Depending on her size, Luky can live in rural or urban areas. As she gets along well with fellow animals, fuzzy earflaps can certainly enrich her forever home. However, it should be ensured that Luky is given time and space for adjustment. Do you want to rush into happiness with Luky? No problem, because the little mouse loves driving very much – even children can take a seat by her side. The little suitcase is already packed. Adoption is pending. Our fluffy head would of course be overjoyed with a foster home. We thank Insa and André for giving Luky the wonderful name and thus a sense of identity. Status: October 20. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Luky

What life with Luky looks like

Luky is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
