Adopt Luna

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 7 years

Luna is a small (weighs about 5-8kg) dog in the Jack Russell Terrier type. She is about 7 years old (born 08/2017). She is active and cheerful, spayed, vaccinated, and fully healthy. We have done tests - everything is fine. Gets along with dogs, I don't know how with cats. She politely travels by car. We are looking for a home without small children. Can be yappy. A rough-haired maiden with a character. This lovely little girl has had years of misunderstanding and being medicated. At the hotel she underwent a transformation and I hope to find her a home, because I love Lunka, if you met her - her sweet trot would also catch your heart. The most difficult part of adoption will be her adaptation to new people, because Luna does not cling to people, she prefers to keep distance. Forcing contact or picking her up can end in a bite. On the other hand, it is not possible to allow her too much - boundaries must be set and respected. Over time, Luna will trust, a very cunning animal - she will do a lot for a treat. Over time, she can be petted behind the ears, and once she will roll over for belly rubs - we are already at this stage. We are looking for people for Lunka who will give her space, slowly convince her of themselves and stick to the rules set in the house. We are looking for people who will give her a wonderful life - she has never had such a life before. In the case of Lunka's adoption, several meetings with the dog will be required before adoption, as well as maintaining the hotel routine at the beginning, i.e., using the cage. ADOPTION PROCEDURE 1. Fill out the Adoption Questionnaire from the link: 2. Meet the dog and pre-adoption visit. 3. Sign the contract and hand over the dog. In case of questions, please call or write: 506 952 182 - Agata Luna is staying at the dog hotel - therefore we ask for donations to maintain Lunka. Food and treats will be worth their weight in gold - you can order them to the hotel's address or to the caregiver from the foundation - we will provide the details via private message.

Luna Jest małym (waży ok. 5-8kg) pieskiem w typie Jack Rusell Terrier Ma ok. 7 lat (ur.08/2017) Aktywna i wesoła, wykastrowana, zachipowana, zaszczepiona Stan zdrowia: bardzo dobry. Zapoznanie z psem i wizyta przedadopcyjna. 3.

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
