Adopt Luna

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

About 4 years old (born around March 2022) 48 cm, female, neutered NOCH IN POLEN, Luna was found in a village in mid-May, where she was wandering alone. None of the villagers knew her… and so she ended up in our partner shelter in Bogu. She seemed well-groomed and it appeared as though she hadn’t been left alone for long. But despite all their efforts, our Polish colleagues were unable to find her owner. No one responded to the notice, and the phone number on her collar was no longer active. Now, about Luna herself: she was from the start an open and cheerful female dog. She loves being with people more than anything and longs for genuine closeness. She would probably prefer to be the sole focus of her future favorite people’s attention, which is why she would likely be happiest as the only pet (the only dog) in the household. LUNA is an active female dog who takes great joy in shared adventures, whether they be varied walks in nature or exploring new places – Luna is full of joy! She wants to participate, she wants to learn the dog ABCs together with her people, she seeks true friendship and will thank her future favorite people as a always cheerful companion-on-four-paws! We hope very much that this wonderful female dog won’t have to wait long for her personal dream home!

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
