Adopt Luna

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Babunia Luna… 💔It's impossible to write about her without a lump in the throat. When she arrived at our animal shelter, she looked like a cat the world had forgotten. Horribly matted. Slobbering, suffering from sick, rotting teeth. Her body was one big tangle — dirty, heavy, as if she carried her whole difficult life on her back. She was quiet. Tired. As if she no longer asked for anything. And then came care. Treatment. Time. And Luna slowly began to come back to life. Today she is a completely different cat. With soft, beautiful, fluffy fur. Free of pain, because her teeth were removed. With a small, constantly sticking out tongue — a cute sign of what she has been through. As if fate left her a stamp: "I survived." She lives peacefully and harmoniously with other cats. And her appetite... ach, her appetite 💔Babunia eats with such enthusiasm, as if she wanted to make up for all the days when she was hungry, sick and alone. Luna doesn't look for miracles. She doesn't dream of a big house. She dreams of silence. Of safety. Of one person who will say: "You're already home.". This cat's FIV status applies — see shelter for details.

Babunia Luna… A potem przyszła opieka. Leczenie. Czas.I Luna powoli zaczęła wracać do życia. Dziś to zupełnie inna kotka.Z miękką, piękną, puchatą sierścią. Marzy o ciszy. O bezpieczeństwie.O jednym człowieku, który powie:„Już jesteś u siebie.” Luna• zaszczepiona• odrobaczona• FIV / FeLV ujemne Kontakt:Ola – 666 610 062

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
