Adopt Lupito

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 6 years

Lupito appeared in a controlled colony, his feeder quickly warned us that he seemed sociable and that he looked very bad. It has been with us for almost a year, and it has not been until 3 months ago that it has really started to improve and we have thought that it can be adopted. We don't really know how old he can be, although by his character he doesn't look like a very old cat, we estimate he can be about 5-7 years old. As for the state of health, it is castrated, vaccinated, deparasitized and we are waiting to repeat the feline immunodeficiency test, since it was at first positive, and then negative, although it had not been 6 months since it left the street, so it has to be repeated in a few months. It also has feline calicivirus, now controlled after many months of antibiotics, interferon, laser in the mouth and many supplements. Eat great thinking and beat, although the calicivirus is never cured, it can stay stable for a long time. If it gets worse, I'll go back with the medication to control it. Right now he lives in the Animal Hugs office with another cat and surrounded by many dogs all day long with which he lives perfectly, but we believe that his ideal home would be being a unique cat, with a person (or several) who spend quite a lot of time at home, and even with children, as he is a loving cat that demands a lot of attention and even has his play moments, although most of the day is quietly sleeping. Its adoption is complex, as it has to be someone who knows what it means to have a cat with calicivirus or who is willing to learn it, learn to medicate it, or pinch it if necessary. Of course, the house to which he went would have to be well protected with bars / mosquito nets and no possibility of going outside, as this cat was probably a abandonment or loss and if he had continued a few more weeks on the street he would have died. If you're a responsible adopter, don't hesitate to
