Lutz is a 1-year-old male European domestic cat, born on May 1, 2025. He is a red and white color and is neutered. He is looking for a home where he can simply be a cat. Lutz came to the shelter because his previous owners were overwhelmed with him. He is very shy and anxious around people. He is not a cat that seeks contact or enjoys closeness. On the contrary, if he feels threatened, he can react panically. Therefore, we are looking for a farm or similar living space for Lutz where he can live at his own pace. He needs people who do not expect anything from him and do not want to change him. Lutz should not have to learn to be a cuddly cat. He should just be allowed to be himself. We are looking for understanding people who can provide him with a safe shelter, regular food, and the necessary medical care, but otherwise leave him the freedom he needs. He may become more affectionate over time, but he may not. For us, it is most important that he finds a place where he can feel safe and enjoy his life as a cat. Der Kater Lutz kam zu uns ins Tierheim, weil seine bisherigen Halter mit ihm überfordert waren. Menschen gegenüber zeigt er sich sehr scheu und ängstlich. Er ist kein Kater, der den Kontakt sucht oder Nähe geniessen kann. Im Gegenteil: Fühlt er sich bedrängt, kann er panisch reagieren. Für Lutz wünschen wir uns deshalb keinen klassischen Familienplatz, sondern möglichst rasch einen Bauernhof oder ähnlichen Lebensplatz, an dem er in seinem eigenen Tempo leben darf. Er braucht Menschen, die nichts von ihm erwarten und ihn nicht verändern möchten. Lutz soll nicht lernen müssen, ein Schmusekater zu werden. Er soll einfach so sein dürfen, wie er ist. Gesucht werden verständnisvolle Menschen, die ihm einen sicheren Unterschlupf, regelmässiges Futter und die nötige medizinische Versorgung bieten, ihm ansonsten aber den Freiraum lassen, den er braucht. Vielleicht wird er eines Tages etwas zutraulicher, vielleicht aber auch nicht. Für uns zählt vor allem, dass er einen Ort findet, an dem er sich sicher fühlen und einfach sein Leben als Katze geniessen darf.
