Lynet

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

An extraordinary but exceptionally beautiful new arrival has enriched the animal shelter in Linares since last year: Lynet is the spotted beauty with the funny spots on her legs and nose, and we certainly don’t exaggerate when we say that Lynet is not only visually a real stunner. The female dog, who is approximately seven years old (as of May 2023), was rescued together with several other dogs from a farm by our Spanish partners. Some of the four-legged creatures were so traumatized that they had to be secured with a snare trap, their fear of bipeds was so great. Although Lynet didn’t fall into this extreme category, she also behaved very reservedly towards humans at first. Now, Lynet has understood that there is no danger from the caretakers. She approaches with tenderness and caution, standing still with wide eyes in awe when stroked, a gentle touch is both so foreign and yet so beautiful. That our spotted beauty gets along well with all fellow animals, we probably don’t need to mention separately. By the way, Lynet is smaller than she appears, at least to me, in the photos. Of course, Lynet will never be a dog who greets strangers with a joyful jump, but to be honest, I’m no longer a fan of being pushed around by a four-legged houseguest either. With experienced people who value peace in their everyday lives, Lynet will surely open up, and who knows? Maybe you’ll be surprised by how the once shy girl discovers the clown within and sweeps through the garden with the most amusing grimaces. One thing I can guarantee you: should that happen, then you’ll have tears of joy in your eyes!

About Lynet

What life with Lynet looks like

Lynet is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lynet, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lynet?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lynet on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lynet if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lynet already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lynet isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lynet and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
