Lysann

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Lysann has found a home! Her story: The pretty Lysann was allowed to move in with her foster family in December. There, she already lives with her sister Elmonde, and their reunion was a big deal. With her scruffy nose and her fluffy fur, she stands out from her sister, yet she is a true beauty, very gentle and loving. At first, she was still very shy, but she always had an open gaze and observed from a safe distance. Soon, her curiosity won out, and she came out more and more on her own. Now, she is largely thawed out and already enjoys many cuddles, her people are no longer strangers to her. She gets along excellently with her sister, they play a lot together. Elmonde is like a big sister and always takes care of Lysann with great affection, making sure she is well. Lysann is very oriented towards her sister outside, it is still a challenge for her. Neither of them wants to go for a walk alone, there is already a very good bond. Lysann has also accepted the leash well, she already walks quite relaxed. However, she must be fed separately, as she does not understand a joke. It seems that the pretty female dog in the shelter had to fight for her food. Lysann wishes for a rural home without much chaos and with consistent trusted people who give her plenty of time to settle in. We recommend a visit to a positively working dog training class. Originally, Lysann came from Romania, Fantanele. She was born on a field with her four sisters and was found and brought to safety as a litter. Our Lysann is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and brings her EU pet passport. She is available for adoption. Have you fallen in love with the pretty Lysann? Then feel free to contact us. Many thanks Gritt K.! You have given Lysann her beautiful name and thus her own identity! Date: 21.01.

Vielen Dank Gritt K.! Stand: 21.01.2025

About Lysann

What life with Lysann looks like

Lysann is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lysann, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lysann?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lysann on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lysann if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lysann already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lysann isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lysann and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
