Lyutik (Лютік)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Sometimes it seems that animals understand everything. A military wife visited the Taliko shelter. She came to visit her husband who is currently serving. She saw this cat. He was in such a bad condition that she just couldn't leave. On the first day, she even managed to catch him, but he broke free and ran away. All the next days, while she was near her husband, she kept returning, looking for him, trying to get closer, but the cat wouldn't let her near. And only on the day of her departure, something strange happened. He came to her himself. As if he felt that there would be no other chance. She brought him to the Taliko shelter. There was a suspicion that the kitten was a domestic one. He is not aggressive at all, very calm and finally allowed himself to breathe. It seems that he understood: now he is safe. His condition is very serious. Critical exhaustion, the whole body is covered with wounds, ulcers and large bald patches. So far we can't say what happened to him. After the doctor's examination and initial tests, the kitten is suspected of having Immunodeficiency and kidney lymphoma. The kitten has a lot of tests and difficult treatment ahead. The estimated cost of treatment is 30,000 UAH

About Lyutik (Лютік)

What life with Lyutik (Лютік) looks like

Lyutik (Лютік) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Dnipro in Ukraine.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

Frequently asked

Adopting Lyutik (Лютік), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lyutik (Лютік)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Dnipro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lyutik (Лютік) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lyutik (Лютік) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Dnipro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lyutik (Лютік) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lyutik (Лютік) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Dnipro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lyutik (Лютік) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
