Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Madam Adelaide & Princess Tenko. Both Female, 3years old - Bonded pair. Neutered, chipped and vaccinatedDumped at the gate with 5 othersFriendly girls used to being handled but prefer not to be picked up.Madam Adelaide had had to have her front teeth removed when she was younger as they were growing irregularly. She does have one small peg tooth which continues to grow but a good quality diet helps it to self manage and wear down naturally. This tooth just needs monitoring in the future to make sure it doesn't over grow. They are both in good health, regularly seen by our vet. They are looking for a home with indoor and outdoor access eg. A shed with permanent outdoor run attached, minimum 60 square feet.

About Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko

What life with Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko looks like

Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko is a small young adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Humane Education Society in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Humane Education Society handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Humane Education Society will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Humane Education Society early rather than rehoming privately; they know Madam Adelaide and Princess Tenko and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
