adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Madison has found her home! Her story: Madison is a small beauty with her stunning brown fur and her expressive, gentle eyes that reflect a lot of emotion. She has a special, delicate aura that immediately draws you in. Charactertically, Madison is curious and friendly. She wants to explore the world, but she prefers to do it with someone: she actively seeks human proximity and makes it clear when she wants attention and affection – then she will already be calling out to get noticed. Being high-gen, feeling close, and simply being loved – that means everything to her. At the same time, she is playful and will run around with her sisters through everyday life. Madison currently lives in the Shelter in Fantanele. Her mother is about 50 cm tall, so Madison is likely to reach this size as well. Whether she knows cats has not been tested yet. Also, her past is sad: her mother gave birth to the puppies outside a village, and some siblings were taken by children. Madison was lucky and was rescued with her two sisters, growing up in safety. Now she is ready for her own home. For people who will give her security and lovingly accompany her on her journey. Madison must still learn to live in a house and all its rules: like every puppy, she brings a lot of energy and learning needs: house training, daily routines, and new stimuli are exciting and sometimes challenging at first. With patience, structure, and a loving hand, she will quickly understand what matters – perhaps with the help of a positively working dog training class. An only dog is welcome but not necessary. Once Madison is old enough, she can move into her new home, but she is also happy with a foster home. She is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, and brings her EU pet passport. Many thanks to the community! You have given Madison her name! Date: 25.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 25.03.2026

About Madison

What life with Madison looks like

Madison is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Madison, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Madison?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Madison on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Madison if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Madison already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Madison isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Madison and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
