Magic

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

This loving little girl is called Magic. She is almost 3 years old (born approx 17/11/2023), neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Magic is very much a lap cat, with a sweet loving personality, she loves her food, a fuss, your lap and her cat tree in that order, she likes to play with her toys, and explore every nook and cranny of her foster carer’s home. She can be a little scamp as she is very inquisitive and mischievous. She is an adorable little girl who won’t take long to come around after her move, with a lot of love and patience. She may be able to live with 1 other laid back cat, and children over 6 years old, but it is not known what she would be like with dogs. Magic came into care with her 2 kittens after being abandoned and living in a woodpile. She still likes to go outside so a safe environment for her to do so is required. She does have a low heart rate that would need checking periodically but has been regularly vet checked and pronounced a healthy, normal active cat.

About Magic

What life with Magic looks like

Magic is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Lincs Ark Animal Welfare in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Magic, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Magic?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lincs Ark Animal Welfare handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Magic on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Magic if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Lincs Ark Animal Welfare will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Magic already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Magic isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lincs Ark Animal Welfare early rather than rehoming privately; they know Magic and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
