A 4-year-old male cat, Mai, with a strong purr is looking for a new roommate! Thickness, fur length, and location are not important; Mai accepts all calls. But then it should be a man, not some boy! A real man, whose lap comfortably fits and who after the first fight doesn't immediately run away with a loving Slavic girl. According to the female, Mai appreciates soft sleeping places and carefully walks there with a purring sound. Currently at the foster home, Mail has two female cats as companions, with whom the relationship is neutral – they don't fight, but they don't show affection either. What can be done, Mai just wants a man! With the foster home's owner, Mai can also sleep in the same bed, but each on their side – like an old married couple. During the day, the curious Mai follows the owner around the apartment and constantly tries to lure her into giving him treats by using feminine cunning. Overall, Mai is a low-maintenance cat who can play with mice and balls independently, only when playing with a long dangling toy does he ask for his owner's help. The cat hasn't yet written to the shelter, but next to a suitable friendly man, she is ready to take on this challenge. * Foster home wrote on 13.05.24: “Mai, who soon became a more proper Mummu, arrived at my place in January 2024. It took only five minutes to get used to the room, immediately became friends with the other cat, but I remain somewhat of a suspicious element. Mummu really loves other cats and if that one is friendly, Mail can sleep with her on the person or head. From behind the other cat's back, Maid can even quietly hide, and once I even got a mousenur. If your cat lacks this best friend, then Mummu is ideal for that. She licks the other cat, feeds it, and plays with it interesting nose games and running games, helping to keep body weight under control. People are always interested, they come to see what is going on, and taking a treat from hand is no problem. Within a few months, the development has been noticeable and I don't doubt that she will one day become a paikas. Watching the other cat's tail is done discreetly and people come close, but there is still a little lack of courage.” — Mai is an exceptionally kind and affectionate kitten looking for a (foster) home where she can learn to trust humans. When Mai moved into the cattery in the spring of 2022, she quickly became friends with Jack: their purring could be heard across the room like a tractor's rumble while they slept in each other's laps. Mai was the more curious side of the pair, constantly following people with her tail and refusing to be alone. Jack preferred to spend the day lounging in the nest, as long as Mai climbed onto his lap at night. The kittens moved together into the foster home, but found more comfort in each other than in humans, so although they became bolder and more friendly day by day, the presence of a person was still unacceptable for half a year later. When the kittens had to move back to the cattery this summer, we made a difficult decision to separate them. Nevertheless, it was the right decision - only after some weeks at the foster home in the company of a friendly cat did Jack begin to bravely accept petting and start to approach humans. We were so happy about Jack! For a while, Mai was alone in the cat room, but then she too got the opportunity to move to the shelter and has been staying there ever since. It will still take some time to become a paikas, but Mai enjoys time with people and even comes to sleep in the bed at night.
