My name is Maksis. I don't remember everything from my past, but I remember what it felt like to be alone. I was very small then. The chain was around my neck, the ground was cold and around me there was chaos and smells that I did not understand. I waited. I always waited for someone to come. Often no one came and when someone did come, I didn't get the warmth and love that I so desperately longed for. That someone would come and just notice me. I however never stopped being happy. It is inside me, a kind of sun that does not go out easily. I am strong. I run gladly, I pull on the leash, because the world is full of things to explore. Sometimes people say that I should learn to move more calmly. I try. I really try. But when I am so full of energy and joy, it just bursts out!
