Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter

Female · Adult · 4 years

How stunning is Mala? She used to live on the street, but since her accident, she has been living in a foster home in Serbia. Weight: 10 kg (22 lb) Rescue Story in brief: Mala once lived as a stray street dog. At the end of 2024, she was hit by a car and suffered a spinal fracture. She underwent two surgeries and regained the ability to walk, but she was left with a problem of incomplete bowel and bladder control. She can urinate and defecate on her own but would benefit from expression to reduce the risk of infection and mess/ leaks. Temperament details: Extremely energetic and tireless, with a strong prey drive. She can be assertive toward other dogs, even those larger than herself, especially female dogs. But she has dog tested really nicely with several dogs including a puppy, before we listed her for adoption (videos available on request) She is very intelligent, affectionate with her people, and loves children Mala doesn't like cats. She is spayed already. Reasons for rehoming? The reason we are looking for a home in the UK is that it is very difficult for her to find one in Serbia because of her incontinence issues. In Serbia, it is difficult to find a home even for a completely healthy dog, let alone for a dog with the challenges that Mala has. You can apply for Mala on our website or DM our social media accounts to have a chat about her! Mala's rescuers will pay 500 euros towards her travel fees with the adopter covering the rest.

Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Miracle in United Kingdom.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Miracle handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Miracle will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Miracle early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mala (incontinent) seeking an adopter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
