Malice

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 11 months

Malice, a tender little soul looking for gentleness 🐾 Malice is a sweet, gentle and quiet cat with an enormous heart. A bit shy, she loves having little corners to hide in, cozy hideaways where she feels safe. But once trust is established, Malice turns into a true purring machine: one caress, and the engine starts up 🥰 Currently in a large cattery, Malice hides a lot, not for lack of love, but to protect herself from stress and other cats. Her past and her sensitivity mean she needs calm in order to thrive. 💊 Health Malice did not have much luck at the start... She was born with heart malformations, which means: • regular veterinary follow-up • a cardiac ultrasound once a year • blood tests • and lifelong treatment On top of this, Malice has a small disability: one of her hind legs does not bend. This does not prevent her from living, but it requires an adapted and secure environment.

About Malice

What life with Malice looks like

Malice is a small kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Gagny Pet and Co in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Malice, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Malice?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gagny Pet and Co handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Malice on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Malice if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gagny Pet and Co will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Malice already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Malice isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gagny Pet and Co early rather than rehoming privately; they know Malice and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
