Dit is Malin! Malin werd door de gemeente van straat gehaald voor neutralisatie. Toen bleek dat ze Leishmania had. Helaas zitten alle gastgezinnen vol. Momenteel krijgt Malin voedselbescherming, omdat de vrijwilligsters denken dat ze behoorlijk uitgehongerd was op straat. Ze moest vaak concurreren met grotere en oudere straathonden. Malin is een lief meisje. Ze wordt opgewonden en danst rond als de vrijwilligsters aankomen. Ze wil dan graag met hen spelen. Malin is begonnen met wandelen aan de lijn. Ze vindt het vaak erg leuk om gewoon in de auto te zitten. Ze heeft nog niet veel levenservaring, maar de vrijwilligsters werken goed samen met haar. Malin heeft een zachtaardig karakter. Ze is erg mensgericht. Ze is erg gemakkelijk in de omgang. Ze gaat gemakkelijk mee naar de dierenarts. Tegenover andere honden reageert Malin goed. In het algemeen vindt ze andere honden leuk. Ze speelt momenteel veel samen met haar kamergenootje Libby. Het is onbekend hoe Malin op katten reageert. Dit zal uitgetest moeten worden. Tegenover kinderen reageert Malin goed. Als ze zich eenmaal zelfverzekerd voelt bij hen gaat het prima. Malin is gesteriliseerd. Momenteel weegt Malin 18 kilo. Momenteel is Malin 55 centimeter hoog. Dit zijn slechts schattingen. Het kan wat afwijken. Malin is positief getest op Leishmania. Ze had al eerder symptomen van Leishmania, en het is ni wel verbeterd. Ze krijgt hiervoor dagelijks Allopurinol tabletjes. In mei 2024 is ze behandeld voor haar Leishmania en sindsdien zijn de symptomen verdwenen. Update september 2025: Malin houdt erg van mensen om hem heen en kan geen genoeg krijgen van aandacht. Tegenover honden is Malin erg onzeker en dit kan soms verkeerd uitpakken. Ze vertoont dan dominant gedrag en dit gaat goed met de ene hond, maar met een andere hond gaat dit mis. Ze is getest met een erg sociale hond die goed kan communiceren met ander honden en dit ging goed. Dit komt waarschijnlijk omdat ze in het eerste deel van haar leven erg ziek is geweest. We raden het dus aan dat Malin in een gezin komt als enige hond.
