Malish (Малиш)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Malysh is a little cutie who was thrown out on the street in autumn. It was immediately obvious that he was a homebody, completely unaccustomed to outdoor life. On the street, he was cold, losing weight, trying to get close to people, but everyone pushed him away. When the first snow fell, we decided to take him off the street and try to find him a family. Unfortunately, in two years, only one family in Kryvyi Rih showed interest in taking him. We went there with Malysh. The woman made a good impression: she spoke sincerely, answered all the questions. But when we arrived, I saw a small dog about the same size as Malysh tied up on a chain in the yard. When I asked why the dog was on a chain, she said it was "a street dog for a chain," and that Malysh would supposedly live in the house. But I clearly understood that he wouldn't stay in the house for long, and he would end up on a chain too. So I took him and we returned home together. I am looking for a responsible family for Malysh who understands that a dog is not a chain, not trash, nor an interior decoration. A dog is a family member. Someone who loves, respects, treats, and takes care of him just like any of us. Malysh has a very unique character; you need to get to know him, earn his trust, and then he will open up and become the best friend.

About Malish (Малиш)

What life with Malish (Малиш) looks like

Malish (Малиш) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Dnipro in Ukraine.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

Frequently asked

Adopting Malish (Малиш), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Malish (Малиш)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Dnipro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Malish (Малиш) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Malish (Малиш) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Dnipro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Malish (Малиш) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Malish (Малиш) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Dnipro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Malish (Малиш) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
