Mamba is a charming young female dog, born on 03.12.2024, with a shoulder height of 43 cm and a weight of 17.8 kg. Particularly noticeable are her funny, large ears, which give her an unmistakable and charming expression. Her story begins sadly, because Mamba was left behind in a dog park in Andalusia by her former owner, who moved to Barcelona. Fortunately, there was a person who did not turn away: A friend took loving care of her until she also had to move for professional reasons. So Mamba eventually found her way to an animal rescuer and now lives in a loving foster home near Malaga. There, Mamba shows herself as a pleasant companion within the existing dog group, although she would prefer her primary caregiver all to herself. Cats are accepted by her, but a home without cats would be more relaxed for everyone involved. Mamba is a generally easygoing female dog in everyday life. She calmly handles car rides, is housebroken, and is very loving towards small dogs. She enjoys long walks as well as faster rounds and has a great joy in playing with water. She is happiest when she can spend time with her human, because her gentle and loving nature is particularly evident in these moments. At night, Mamba sleeps soundly and loves to be close to her primary caregiver. If she is allowed to sleep in bed with her, it is the greatest gift for her and at the same time her quiet, heartfelt thank you. Whoever gives Mamba a home gains a loyal companion with a big heart, who is ready to give her trust and love. Contact Petra via phone or email. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Here you can find us: www.hund-tut-gut.deinfo-tut-gut. This animal is house-trained.

About Mamba

What life with Mamba looks like

Mamba is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hund-tut-gut e.V. in Sehnde.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mamba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mamba?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund-tut-gut e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mamba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mamba if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund-tut-gut e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mamba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mamba isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund-tut-gut e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mamba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
