Manchas

Border Collie · Male · Puppy · 3 months

It appeared in a small town as a tiny puppy. Abandoned, it was taken in by the townspeople who fed and cared for it on the street. For three long years, it became "the village dog," causing no trouble, never having a true home… until the day it had an accident. It was then that someone took pity on it and contacted us to rescue it and give it the chance it deserved. Manchas, a magnificent tri-colored Border Collie, born on September 3, 2021, with a noble presence, is a dog who captivates you from the first glance. With his 23 kg, gentle gaze, and elegant posture, he exudes a calming and irresistible presence. This big sensitive soul doesn’t like the city: calm, countryside, or a peaceful neighborhood will be ideal for his well-being. He loves toys, chasing what is thrown to him, playing with his human— he thrives in these simple moments, full of joy. Manchas is an observant dog. He feels more at ease with women, but when this treasure chooses you, he offers a pure love: cuddles, closeness, little sounds to catch your attention, and that tender gaze that says it all. He is a gentle, respectful, and sociable dog with other canines; he has a real herding instinct: when everything is running wild, he loves to put things back in order! MANCHAS interested? Fill out the adoption application (no commitment), and an association delegate will contact you soon: Adoption fee: 315 euros MANCHAS is under contract with the association GALGOS FRANCE. About Manchas

What life with Manchas looks like

Manchas is a small puppy/kitten border collie dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Manchas, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Manchas?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Manchas on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Manchas if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Manchas already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Manchas isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Manchas and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
