How do I contact the shelter about Mandarine & Clementin?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Ehingen und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mandarine & Clementin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Mandarine & Clementin if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Ehingen und Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Mandarine & Clementin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Mandarine & Clementin isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Ehingen und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mandarine & Clementin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Mandarine & Clementin

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten

A lively little rascal & gentle princess Mandarine (female) & Clementin (male), born around June 2026 Mandarine and Clementin currently live together in a foster home and are looking for their forever home from there. Mandarine is the shy one of the two and takes a little longer to settle in a new environment and gain trust. Once she has settled in, she shows her gentle and affectionate side. Clementin, on the other hand, is a lively, curious and playful little cat who likes to be in the thick of things. The two are very attached to each other. They play, discover and cuddle together and love to sleep snuggled up together. Therefore, Mandarine and Clementin will only be placed together. Both are very playful at an age-appropriate level. Whether it's playing with balls or playing with a cat toy - the two are enthusiastic about it. At the same time, they seek the proximity to their humans and enjoy extensive stroking and cuddling sessions. They also already know small children. They find visits exciting and enjoy the extra attention and activity. Mandarine and Clementin are a wonderful little duo that is now looking for a loving home with a cozy bed, many play opportunities and people who give them lots of love and security. About Mandarine & Clementin

What life with Mandarine & Clementin looks like

Mandarine & Clementin is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Ehingen und Umgebung e.V. in Ehingen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
