Mango is a 2-year-old Canis vulgaris with a backpack. His trust in people is still fragile and that makes him react out of fear in tense situations. When he feels threatened, he dares to bite. That's why we are looking for a home without children for him. Mango is currently staying in a foster family where they are working hard with him. There we see that he is making progress step by step. He lives there together with other dogs and that goes well. He also knows the bench and it gives him the rest and safety he needs. During walks, Mango walks nicely and does not pull on the leash. However, he can bark at stimuli he encounters. This behavior also comes from uncertainty, not from aggression. He needs a master who learns to read his signals and guides him in a calm, consistent way. Mango is an active, intelligent and discerning dog with a lot of potential. He learns quickly, but needs someone who gives him the time and space to build trust. He will not grow into a stable dog on his own; that will have to be invested in. That's why we are not looking for beginners for Mango, but people with experience in dog behavior or people who are willing to work intensively. We strongly recommend working together from the start with a behavioral therapist or professional behavior trainer. That will not only help Mango, but also his future family. Anyone willing to patiently work with Mango will see that there is a dog behind his uncertainty with enormous potential. He does not need a perfect master, but someone who understands him, respects him and gives him the chance to open up at his own pace.

Mango is een Canis vulgaris van 2 jaar oud met een rugzakje. Zijn vertrouwen in mensen is nog erg broos en dat maakt dat hij in spannende situaties uit angst kan reageren. Wanneer hij zich bedreigd voelt, durft hij te bijten. Daarom zoeken we voor hem een thuis zonder kinderen. Momenteel verblijft Mango in een opvanggezin, waar hard met hem gewerkt wordt. Daar zien we dat hij stap voor stap vooruitgang boekt. Hij leeft er samen met andere honden en dat verloopt goed. Ook de bench kent hij en die geeft hem de rust en veiligheid die hij nodig heeft. Tijdens wandelingen loopt Mango mooi mee en trekt hij niet aan de lijn. Wel kan hij blaffen naar prikkels die hij tegenkomt. Ook dat gedrag komt voort uit onzekerheid, niet uit agressie. Hij heeft een baasje nodig dat zijn signalen leert lezen en hem op een rustige, consequente manier begeleidt. Mango is een actieve, intelligente en scherpzinnige hond die veel potentieel heeft. Hij leert snel, maar heeft iemand nodig die hem de tijd en ruimte geeft om vertrouwen op te bouwen. Hij zal niet vanzelf uitgroeien tot een stabiele hond; daar zal in geïnvesteerd moeten worden. Daarom zoeken we voor Mango geen beginners, maar mensen met ervaring in hondengedrag of mensen die bereid zijn zich intensief te laten begeleiden. We raden dan ook sterk aan om vanaf de start samen te werken met een gedragstherapeut of professionele gedragstrainer. Dat zal niet alleen Mango helpen, maar ook zijn toekomstige gezin. Wie bereid is om geduldig met Mango aan de slag te gaan, zal zien dat er achter zijn onzekerheid een hond schuilt met enorm veel potentieel. Hij heeft geen perfect baasje nodig, maar wel iemand die hem begrijpt, respecteert en hem de kans geeft om op zijn eigen tempo open te bloeien.
