"Manolo" is a playful and affectionate dog with humans. He is a dog who needs to learn how to manage life with other dogs. Accompanied by our trainers, he has made progress at the shelter regarding his interactions with other animals of the same species and can now walk in the presence of dogs at a distance without reacting. However, he will not be able to live with another dog. "Manolo" accepts wearing a muzzle, and this will be an important tool during outdoor outings for more peace of mind during encounters. For "Manolo", we will avoid a home with children under 14 years old. On walks outside the shelter, "Manolo" has not reacted to bicycles, joggers, or children. "Manolo" does not really like water and does not swim in lakes or streams. However, he loves to walk and will need daily physical exercise to feel good on his paws. A house with a well-fenced garden will be essential so that he can have moments where he can let off steam safely. A person who has good knowledge of dogs and has had them before would be better suited for our beautiful "Manolo". It will be necessary to offer him a firm and reassuring environment to start anew with confidence by your side. An accompaniment by a canine trainer after adoption will be essential. The Educ Dog training center supports "Manolo" by offering his future adopter a 5-day stage at their canine center in Montpellier.

« Manolo » est joueur et câlin avec l’humain. C’est un chien qui a besoin d’apprendre à gérer la vie avec les autres chiens. Accompagné par nos éducateurs, il a fait des progrès au refuge au niveau de ses rencontres avec ses congénères et peut désormais se balader en présence de chiens à distance sans réagir. Toutefois, il ne pourra pas vivre avec un autre chien. Manolo accepte de porter la muselière et cela sera un outil important lors des sorties à l’extérieur pour plus de sérénité dans les rencontres. Pour Manolo nous éviterons un foyer avec des enfants de moins de 14 ans. En balade en dehors du refuge, Manolo n’a pas eu de réactions envers les vélos, joggeurs, enfants. Manolo n’aime pas vraiment l’eau et ne fait pas trempette au lac ou dans les cours d’eau. Par contre, il adore se balader et aura besoin d’exercice physique quotidien pour se sentir bien dans ses pattes. Une maison avec un jardin bien clôturé sera indispensable pour qu’il puisse avoir des moments où il pourra se défouler en toute sécurité. Une personne qui a une bonne connaissance des chiens et qui en a déjà eu conviendrait mieux pour notre beau Manolo. Il faudra savoir lui proposé un cadre ferme et rassurant pour reprendre un nouveau départ en toute confiance à vos côtés. Un accompagnement par un éducateur canin après l’adoption sera essentiel. Le centre d’éducation Educ Dog soutient Manolo en offrant à son futur adoptant un stage de 5 jours au sein de son centre canin à Montpellier.
