Alongside his sister Lia, he was discovered by our animal welfare workers Dorel while Dorel was on the way to the vet with another dog. The two puppies were living between railway tracks and a heavily trafficked road—an extremely dangerous place where any day could have been their last. Fortunately, Dorel didn’t leave them behind and was able to safely rescue them without much difficulty. Immediately after their rescue, they were taken to the veterinarian. There, it was discovered that both puppies had a fever and were dehydrated. They received prompt treatment and have fortunately recovered well. Today, they are healthy and ready to begin a better life. Mar is approximately 4 months old and will likely grow to be medium-sized as an adult. With his handsome brown-and-beige coat, dark face, and adorable sideways-sticking “bat ears,” he’s a truly special little guy. At the shelter, Mar currently still appears rather shy and cautious. All the new impressions and his past experiences have left their mark on him. Nevertheless, he is sweet through and through, allows himself to be handled easily, and remains calm and well-behaved in all situations. It’s clear he simply needs a bit more time to fully trust people again. With patience, understanding, and loving support, Mar will surely gradually open up and discover how wonderful a safe and caring dog’s life can be. Since Mar is still young, adolescence still lies ahead of him—so his future family should enjoy patiently guiding him through life and learning together with him. Der kleine Mar hatte keinen sicheren Start ins Leben. Gemeinsam mit seiner Schwester Lia wurde er von unserem Tierschützer Dorel entdeckt, als dieser gerade mit einem anderen Hund auf dem Weg zum Tierarzt war. Die beiden Welpen lebten zwischen Bahngleisen und einer stark befahrenen Straße – ein gefährlicher Ort, an dem jeder Tag ihr letzter hätte sein können. Zum Glück ließ Dorel die beiden nicht zurück und konnte sie relativ problemlos sichern. Direkt nach ihrer Rettung wurden sie zum Tierarzt gebracht. Dort stellte sich heraus, dass beide Welpen Fieber hatten und dehydriert waren. Sie wurden sofort behandelt und haben sich glücklicherweise gut erholt. Heute sind sie wohlauf und bereit, in ein besseres Leben zu starten. Mar ist etwa 4 Monate alt und wird ausgewachsen vermutlich mittelgroß werden. Mit seinem hübschen braun-beigen Fell, dem dunklen Gesicht und seinen niedlichen seitlich abstehenden „Fledermaus-Ohren“ ist er ein ganz besonderer kleiner Kerl. Im Shelter zeigt sich Mar aktuell noch eher schüchtern und vorsichtig. Die vielen neuen Eindrücke und sein bisheriges Leben haben ihn geprägt. Dennoch ist er durch und durch lieb, lässt sich problemlos anfassen und erträgt alle Situationen ruhig und brav. Man merkt ihm einfach an, dass er noch etwas Zeit braucht, um den Menschen vollständig vertrauen zu können. Mit Geduld, Verständnis und liebevoller Begleitung wird Mar sicherlich Schritt für Schritt auftauen und entdecken, wie schön ein behütetes Hundeleben sein kann. Da Mar noch jung ist, steht ihm auch die Pubertät erst noch bevor – seine zukünftige Familie sollte also Freude daran haben, ihn geduldig durchs Leben zu begleiten und gemeinsam mit ihm zu lernen. Für Mar wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges und liebevolles Zuhause, in dem er in seinem eigenen Tempo ankommen darf. Menschen, die ihn nicht bedrängen, sondern ihm Sicherheit und Geborgenheit schenken. Nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr kann Mar gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und mit einem EU-Heimtierausweis in sein neues Leben reisen. Lieben Dank an Tara M..
