Our lively tomcat Marin is now the second time in our animal shelter. The first time he was surrendered because he no longer got along with his sibling Marin in his old home and sometimes reacted aggressively towards him. The second time he came to us, his new owners were overwhelmed by his health issues. Both times he lived as a house cat. Marin is strongly influenced by his background and always seeks close contact with his human. He loves to snuggle and also likes to sleep with his human. As Marin has only ever lived as a house cat, he displays a very unbalanced personality and is sometimes quite hectic and nervous. He shows this by often pacing and appearing restless. For this reason, he will be exclusively placed on a rural free-range basis. We believe that Marin can become more balanced and notably more relaxed as a tomcat with this arrangement. Additionally, we assume that his health issues will significantly improve once he has more freedom and peace in his life. Unfortunately, Marin is not very cooperative at the vet and can put up a good fight. However, with targeted medical training, this can certainly be improved to make future vet visits stress-free. Therefore, we are looking for cat-experienced and understanding humans who can give him the closeness he needs but also the space he requires. Marin is a very intelligent tomcat who enjoys being encouraged. He is also a grateful candidate for any type of training. This cat needs outdoor access. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Unser aufgeweckter Kater Marin ist nun bereits das zweite Mal bei uns im Tierheim. Das erste Mal wurde er abgegeben, da er sich in seinem alten Zuhause nicht mehr mit seinem Gspänli verstand und teils aggressiv auf ihn reagierte. Das zweite Mal kam er zu uns, weil seine neuen Besitzer mit seinen gesundheitlichen Baustellen überfordert waren. Beide Male lebte er als Wohnungskatze. Marin ist aufgrund seiner Vorgeschichte stark auf den Menschen geprägt und sucht stets den engen Kontakt zu seinem Menschen. Er kuschelt unheimlich gerne und schläft auch gerne bei seinem Menschen. Da Marin bisher lediglich als Wohnungskatze lebte, zeigt er ein sehr unausgeglichenes Wesen und ist teils recht hektisch und nervös. Dies zeigt er indem er oft herummiaut und auch ruhelos wirkt. Aus diesem Grund wird er neu ausschliesslich mit ländlichem Freigang platziert. Wir denken, dass Marin so zügig ein ausgeglichener und wesentlich entspannterer Kater werden kann. Ebenfalls gehen davon aus, dass auch seine gesundheitlichen Baustellen sich massiv verbessern dürften, sobald Freigang mehr Ruhe in sein Leben bringt. Beim Tierarzt ist Marin leider nicht sehr kooperativ und kann sich auch ausgiebig wehren. Mit gezieltem Medical Training lässt sich dies jedoch sicher üben, um die Tierarztbesuche künftig stressfreier zu gestalten. Somit suchen wir für Marin katzenerfahrene und verständnisvolle Menschen welche ihm die Nähe aber auch den Freiraum geben, welchen er benötigt. Marin ist ein sehr intelligenter Kater, der es mag gefördert zu werden. Womit er auch ein dankbarer Kandidat für Trainings jeglicher Art ist.
