This is a chronic, progressive disease in which the tracheal cartilage (especially in small dog breeds) lose their stability and collapse. Typical symptoms are a dry, "goose-like" cough, difficulty breathing and cyanosis, often triggered by excitement or pressure on the neck. Marisa requires anti-inflammatory medication and is currently not impaired. However, it is a progressive course. She gets along well with other animals. Compatibility with cats can be tested.
