July 15, 2020 21:12 Mark 10. 07. 21 People are amazing creatures... Everyone thinks they are smart, cultured, civilized and of course kind. When they come to the shelter for a dog, they all talk about how they made the right decision and how great it will be for the dog, and they are such good people that they decided to take a dog from the shelter and give it a home... What's happening to you, people, when after a while you call and find reasons to return your now friend. Six months have passed and Mark was returned to us, the puppy grew up and became an adult dog with formed habits, he is no longer a collective, he is a proprietor, and by the way, he was fed poorly, he is thin and fights with others for meat. Yes, we do not fight for meat because it is there and enough for everyone. We are trying to wean, re-educate, return to a normal state, to feed him. The reason for the return, a trip to the sanatorium, and yet they asked - if you have to leave, will there be someone to leave the dog with, they asked, we ask about everything... Why have a dog if there is no one to look after it in your absence? It's not a toy, it's a living being and with your "trick" you broke his life. It's scary that there are many such people, over the past years (and the experience is already 18 years old), during the initial interview with future owners, I can only offer one out of ten to come to the shelter, and we still make mistakes... The percentage of adequately thinking and responsible owners is very low and this is a fact. People do not understand what dog culture is, responsible dog ownership.

About Mark (Марк)

What life with Mark (Марк) looks like

Mark (Марк) is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Дай лапу друг in Zaporizhzhia.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mark (Марк), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mark (Марк)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Дай лапу друг handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mark (Марк) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mark (Марк) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Дай лапу друг will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mark (Марк) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mark (Марк) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Дай лапу друг early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mark (Марк) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
