Her story: The beautiful Marla was picked up in the middle of a deep winter in Romania by our helpers, along with two other dogs. The dogs were left to fend for themselves and were exposed to the harsh weather conditions. Thankfully, the three were brought to safety and taken in by the our shelter. But Marla still needs her very own warm dog bed in the heart of a family, especially to escape the icy temperatures in Romania. Marla is a quiet, gentle female dog with a warm, caramel-chocolate coat and a gaze that tells a story. She is initially a bit shy but warms up well to people. She masters walks on a leash, takes food out of someone's hand cautiously, and clearly enjoys cuddles. Her reserve does not appear fearful but rather cautious and sensitive. Marla shows friendliness and great affection towards people. A compatibility test with other dogs is still pending, and we also do not know about her compatibility with cats. As a Sharpei-mixed breed, Marla likely brings some breed-specific traits. Sharpeis are known as quiet, independent dogs that form a close bond with their trusted people but do not require constant chaos. They value clear structures, respectful handling, and a quiet home. Patience and empathy are important to further strengthen her trust. For Marla, a new home will initially present many unfamiliar situations. With time, calmness, and loving companionship, she will adapt well. She appears to be a female dog that does not demand much, except for security, reliability, and affection. Ihre Geschichte: Die hübsche Marla wurde mit zwei weiteren Hunden mitten im tiefen Winter Rumänien von unseren Helfern aufgesammelt. Die Hunde waren sich selbst überlassen und den Witterungsbedingungen schutzlos ausgeliefert. Zum Glück wurden die drei in Sicherheit gebracht und in ein Shelter aufgenommen. Jetzt fehlt Marla aber noch ein eigenes warmes Körbchen im Herzen einer Familie, vor allem damit sie den eisigen Temperaturen in Rumänien entkommen kann. Marla ist eine ruhige, sanfte Hündin mit einem warmen, karamell-schokoladenbraunen Fell und einem Blick, der viel erzählt. Sie ist anfangs etwas schüchtern, lässt sich aber gut auf Menschen ein. Spaziergänge an der Leine meistert sie bereits, sie nimmt vorsichtig Futter aus der Hand und genießt Streicheleinheiten sichtlich. Ihre Zurückhaltung wirkt nicht ängstlich, sondern eher vorsichtig und feinfühlig. Menschen gegenüber zeigt sich Marla freundlich und sehr lieb. Ein Verträglichkeitstest mit anderen Hunden steht noch an und auch über ihre Verträglichkeit mit Katzen wissen wir noch nichts. Als Sharpei-Mischling bringt Marla vermutlich einige rassetypische Eigenschaften mit. Sharpeis gelten als eher ruhige, unabhängige Hunde, die eine enge Bindung zu ihren Bezugspersonen aufbauen, dabei aber keinen ständigen Trubel brauchen. Sie schätzen klare Strukturen, einen respektvollen Umgang und ein ruhiges Zuhause. Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen sind wichtig, um ihr Vertrauen weiter zu stärken. Für Marla wird ein neues Zuhause zunächst viele unbekannte Situationen bereithalten. Mit Zeit, Ruhe und liebevoller Begleitung wird sie sich jedoch gut einfinden können. Sie wirkt wie eine Hündin, die nicht viel fordert, außer Sicherheit, Verlässlichkeit und Zuneigung.
