Marlenka

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Story of Marlenka, golden female dog, for urgent adoption! Marlenka is extremely charming and comforting female dog. Above all - she loves people 🙂 She is sociable, for people she knows she is a real cuddle. She greets strangers with curiosity and warmth, but to build real, valuable relationships you have to work for it. It's a great quality and a very healthy canine approach to life. Marlenka willingly cooperates with a person and can behave well in various situations - maybe except baths, during which she really complains about her hard fate. She is a gentle female dog towards older children and gladly spends time with them. She is not lacking in energy and desire for longer walks and games. Marlenka has no experience with the city area, but knowing her character, we know that she can safely live in a quieter urban area, on a nice, green neighborhood. She is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Historia Marlenka złota suczka, do pilnej adopcji !

About Marlenka

What life with Marlenka looks like

Marlenka is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Zwierzęca Polana in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marlenka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marlenka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Zwierzęca Polana handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marlenka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marlenka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Zwierzęca Polana will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marlenka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marlenka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Zwierzęca Polana early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marlenka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
