Adopt Marley

Male

Seeking Home Located at Kvistgård Marley is fostered by a family in Kvistgård, where male has been residing in the basement while there was snow outside in February. Male was neutered and ear-tagged but unfortunately the tag was illegible. Male had been advertised for a long time without success. We had him at the vet where male tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Male was also chipped and vaccinated and treated for parasites. Male subsequently visited the vet again and had a couple of teeth removed and received dental X-rays. Male is a super sweet cat who only goes out very little and has started to seek attention from the house when the dog is not home. Male can go out on his own via the family's former cat's cat flap, but male would rather have human contact and therefore seeks to move from the basement to the family. Unfortunately, the family's young boxers are not friendly towards him and it has almost come to blows, so a new home for Marley needs to be found as soon as possible. Male is mild and good-natured and requires little attention beyond a full food bowl. A quiet home with access to a cat-secure courtyard or garden/kennel would be perfect for him. Contact Joan if you can offer Marley a lovely home or fill out the application if applicable.

About Marley

What life with Marley looks like

Marley is a adult cat waiting at Nordsjællands Kattehjælp in Denmark.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇰Adopting from Denmark

Danish shelters follow EU pet passport rules and require an adoption contract. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nordsjællands Kattehjælp handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nordsjællands Kattehjælp will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nordsjællands Kattehjælp early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
