Marley

Mixed Breed · Male

Age: born on 22. 9. 2024 Vaccination: complete sterilization: yes Tests: – Temperament: friendly, but cautious at first; needs time to gain trust Origin: after an accident; two surgeries, the last one was a hip joint resection Health status: limited mobility, will need physiotherapy Marley is a young dog who has been through a really difficult journey. He has had two surgeries, the last one being a hip joint resection, so his movement is naturally more limited. Nevertheless, he tries hard, is brave, and will still need physiotherapy to help him move as best as possible. In terms of temperament, Marley is very nice and friendly, but only towards people he already knows. At first, he is more cautious and needs some time to be sure that nothing is going to happen to him. Once he lets a person close, he becomes affectionate, loyal, and very grateful companion. He will be ready for adoption at the end of May. He is looking for a home where he will be given peace, patience, and safety — and where he can continue to strengthen and recover surrounded by love.

About Marley

What life with Marley looks like

Marley is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Útulek Mladá Boleslav in Mladá Boleslav.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Mladá Boleslav handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Mladá Boleslav will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Mladá Boleslav early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
