Marnie

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Marnie is a beautiful cat who arrived at Triple A on 3 June 2023 alongside her brother Stevie. Since her arrival, she has always been a calm and reserved cat. For a long time, she wouldn’t let anyone touch her, but with patience and without pressuring her, she has made great strides. She now lets people stroke her and, although she remains a cautious cat, she is becoming increasingly trusting of people. She has a gentle and calm nature. That said, she doesn’t like sudden movements or people invading her space unexpectedly. When you approach her calmly and respect her pace, she responds very well and enjoys being stroked. She is very sociable with other cats. She feels comfortable in their company and gets on perfectly with them, so she would be ideal for a home where there is already another calm cat. Marnie needs a family who understands her nature: patient people who don’t expect an effusive cat from day one, but who enjoy watching her gradually give her trust. 💛 Marnie has shown that she knows how to trust. Now she just needs a family who will give her the time and affection she needs to keep moving forward. ✨ Adopt Marnie and discover the joy of winning the heart of such a special cat. 🏡 To ensure her safety, it is essential that windows and balconies are fitted with suitable safety measures before adoption. A safe home is the first step towards a happy life. 📩 Adoption enquiries: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Marnie

What life with Marnie looks like

Marnie is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
