Mars is a 4 yr old male Saluki x who has come to LL after his owners could no longer keep him due to separation anxiety - he was getting very noisy when left and as he lived in a flat, this just wasn't working out. He originally came from a stray pound so has no early history but is now vaccinated and neutered and has undergone some training. He is NOT cat friendly and apparently doesn't really like other dogs when he's on a lead (not sure if this is ALL dogs or non-sighthounds, but will find out). He travels well and walks nicely on his harness and lead but due to his high prey drive he cannot be let off the lead unless it's a secure field or somewhere that's free of small furries. From reading his write up, Mars sounds like a typical Saluki type - definitely not a dog for a novice owner though.
