Martha lived in Salacea, Romania, in a Roma settlement. She was caught during a spay/neuter campaign and could not be returned because she was problematic on the streets. She was likely mistreated and hunted and tried to defend herself. She came to the shelter in December 2025. Martha could not adapt well to Sisterea during the first months. However, after some time, she understood that nobody wanted to harm her there and became open and affectionate. She gets along with other dogs, but shows somewhat dominant behavior, especially when eating, and can be jealous when other dogs get attention. Therefore, she would be happiest as a single dog, with her own garden and a clear human caregiver. Martha needs stability and affection to develop into a loyal companion. She still needs to learn to walk on a leash better. Martha can be a bit uncertain in new situations and needs time to adjust to a new environment due to her bad experiences on the streets. After that, she will be a super lively and loyal companion. She needs people with dog experience she can trust. Children should be older. The female was born in July 2022 and is 60 cm tall. Martha lebte in Salacea (Rumänien) in einer Roma-Siedlung. Sie wurde bei einer Kastrationaktion eingefangen und konnte nicht zurückgebracht werden, weil sie auf der Straße problematisch war. Wahrscheinlich wurde sie schlecht behandelt und gejagt und versuchte sich zu wehren. Sie kam im Dezember 2025 ins Tierheim. Martha konnte sich während der ersten Monaten in Sisterea nicht gut anpassen. Nach einiger Zeit jedoch hat sie verstanden, dass dort keiner ihr etwas Böses antun möchte und sie wurde aufgeschlossen und liebebedürftig. Mit anderen Hunden kommt sie zurecht, zeigt jedoch vor allem beim Fressen ein etwas dominantes Verhalten und kann eifersüchtig reagieren, wenn andere Hunde Aufmerksamkeit bekommen. Daher wäre sie am glücklichsten als Einzelhund, mit einem eigenen Garten und einer klaren menschlichen Bezugsperson. Martha benötigt Stabilität und Zuwendung, um sich zu einer treuen Begleiterin zu entwickeln. Das Laufen an der Leine muss sie noch besser lernen. Martha kann in neuen Situationen etwas unsicher werden und braucht aufgrund ihrer schlechten Erfahrungen auf der Straße Zeit, um sich an eine neue Umgebung zu gewöhnen. Danach wird sie eine super lebensfröhliche und treue Begleiterin werden. Sie braucht Menschen mit Hundeerfahrung, denen sie vertrauen kann. Kinder sollten groß sein. Die Hündin wurde im Juli 2022 geboren und ist 60 cm groß. Sie ist geimpft, gechipt und kastriert. Vor ihrer Ausreise bekommt sie noch einen Test auf Herzwürmer.
