Marti

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 3 months

Martí fecha de nacimiento / dob: 24-04-26 aprox.Personality: Martí has a special talent for acting mysterious… for about ten minutes 😼. At first, he prefers to observe from a distance, carefully studying new people with that cautious attitude typical of someone who wants to make sure everything is in order… a careful little guy 👀. He is gentle and delicate with newcomers, but the moment he realizes there is nothing to worry about, the calm is over: the real Martí appears. And the real Martí is a tiny whirlwind on paws 💥—a true little storm of love, curiosity, and cuddles. He firmly believes that every corner of the house might hide an adventure or a cozy resting spot. A blanket tunnel, mysteriously moving bedsheets, or a freshly arrived cardboard box… everything deserves a thorough investigation. His curiosity seems endless, and watching him discover the world is almost as entertaining as joining in the game with him. He always finds a way to make you smile. His energy is just as impressive 😹. He can spend long stretches running, jumping, and chasing anything that catches his attention. And just when he finally seems tired, he takes a quick power nap to recharge… and comes back ready for his next mission. He is one of those kittens who fill a home with life and make sure there is always something going on.But between adventures, his sweetest side also appears 💛. Although he is perfectly capable of entertaining himself, he absolutely enjoys human company once he builds a bond. He loves curling up around your neck and, if he gets to choose, he will most likely end up sleeping on your head as if it were the most comfortable bed in the universe. And there is one habit that melts anyone’s heart: he always waits by the door when someone comes home, ready to give the kind of welcome only he knows how to give.He also has his own little soundtrack 🎶. While playing, it is very common to hear him making tiny growls, little motor-like purrs, and all those funny sounds that seem to accompany every one of his adventures. And if you put on a movie at home, don’t be surprised if you find Martí completely mesmerized, watching the screen with those huge eyes, following every movement as if he doesn’t want to miss a single scene.Martí is a funny, intelligent, and very affectionate kitten, with that perfect mix of independence and desire to share moments. He only needs a few minutes to gain confidence… after that, you’ll start wondering how the house ever felt complete without this tiny pink-nosed explorer who turns every ordinary day into an adventure. 🧡🐾If adopting as a pair we recommend: Martí lives with other cats in foster care, so he adapts easily to new furry friends. Can Iive with kids? Yes, with the necessary adaptation. Can live with other animals? Yes. Untested with dogs but we think he'd be fine.Ideal home: They can live with their foster siblings or other compatible cat(s) in any type of household—whether it’s a single person, a couple, or a larger family. Please note that we give priority to people who already have a compatible cat living with them or who are adopting a pair.A balcony or terrace is always a plus! Adopta! <img src="

About Marti

What life with Marti looks like

Marti is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Gatalunya Cat Rescue in Spain.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gatalunya Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gatalunya Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gatalunya Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
