Marti

Mixed Breed · Male

Shy, quiet Marti has a chance for a home? MARTI was taken from an intervention. He lived in a fairly large group, without socialization, without proper care. The dogs had only themselves. Marti is learning to live again. He walks nicely on walks, afraid of sudden movements. Shy, not very confident. Always stays to the side. During feeding, he is the last to approach the bowl when the caregiver is no longer in the box. He needs a calm, patient home and caregivers ready to work with a Behaviorist. Marti is a lean dog, up to the knee. Weighs about 12 kg. We are looking for a home without small children. Marti needs a lot of understanding and love. The sooner he finds a responsible Family - the sooner he will recover from traumatic experiences. Marti was born at the beginning of 2020. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.

Marti to pies szczupły, przed kolano. Waży ok. 12 kg. Szukamy domu bez małych dzieci. Marti potrzebuje dużo zrozumienia i miłości. Im szybciej znajdzie odpowiedzialną Rodzinę – tym szybciej dojdzie do siebie po traumatycznych przeżyciach. Marti urodził się na początku 2020 roku. Wykastrowany, zaszczepiony, zaczipowany. About Marti

What life with Marti looks like

Marti is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marti, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marti?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marti on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marti if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marti already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marti isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marti and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
