Marly

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Mixed-breed puppy Marly is seeking his fortune. The little Marly was left behind with his 8 siblings at a shopping mall in Bulgaria – a sad start to life. Thankfully, he is now in safety at our partner shelter and can move into his own home or a foster home starting in July. Marly shows typical puppy playfulness, attentiveness, and curiosity. He wants to explore the world, loves the contact with people, and gets along well with other dogs. The little man especially enjoys cuddles. Of course, Marly still has to learn the complete dog ABC: house training, being alone, car rides, walking on a leash, and meeting many new environmental stimuli. With patience, loving consistency, and positive reinforcement, he will surely master all of this quickly. We wish people for Marly who will give him time for his adjustment and age-appropriate support. A puppy brings not only many beautiful moments and cuddle hours but also time, patience, responsibility, and work. Since herding dog traits may be present in him, potential character traits should be considered. A rural home with an enclosed yard would therefore be ideal. Who will give Marly a safe future and a loving home? Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also be a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack of past experiences or unlearned situations with them and need time to adjust to their new lives. If you have serious interest in adopting Marly, please contact the responsible mediator at SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy to hear about the possibility of a foster home.

About Marly

What life with Marly looks like

Marly is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
