Adopt Maruru

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

Maruru a baby who adores humans. At 2 and a half months old, Maruru is undoubtedly the most fluffy kitten in the litter! Raised by its mother, this beautiful white and ginger kitten is very close to humans and very gentle. He loves being carried like a baby, sleeping in people's arms, and purring for hours, between two wild play sessions. He is also quite the little gourmet and is always the first to finish his meal! Maruru will need a lot of company and attention and preferably a feline companion. He is up for double adoption with one of his brothers and sisters OR in a home that already has a cat. He is available for adoption at our area under the association Adopte un Matou. Maruru is offered for adoption: microchipped, primovaccinated (against feline enteritis and cat flu), and dewormed (against worms and fleas). His mother tested negative for FIV/FELV. Spaying/neutering is mandatory at 6 months (non-negotiable clause of the adoption contract). Adoption fee: €180. Placement follow-up. The exteriors (windows, balconies, etc.) of his future home must be securely enclosed: preventing a kitten or cat from escaping or falling (we will not consider any applications that do not meet this condition).

About Maruru

What life with Maruru looks like

Maruru is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Adopte Un Matou in Maurecourt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Maruru, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Maruru?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopte Un Matou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Maruru on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Maruru if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopte Un Matou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Maruru already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Maruru isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopte Un Matou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Maruru and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
