Adopt Masha ist vermittelt

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Masha was found on the street in Băile Felix (Romania) in January 2026. She was not microchipped and was not being searched for, so nothing is known about her past. She was brought to the open animal shelter of our shelter where she was supposed to be neutered only. However, since she is very nice and friendly towards humans, it was decided not to put her back out again. Now she is waiting at the animal shelter for a lovely home. The ITV Grenzenlos would like to help this dear female dog very much. Masha has a great character. She is well-balanced and pleasant. She gets along with everyone, likes every person and her fellow animals. She even suits beginners or families with smaller children. She is sweet and not intrusive. Of course, she still requires good upbringing and orientation. She is eager to learn and curious. Masha is cuddly and clingy; she loves to be pampered and has a lot of joy for life. With her friendly open nature and cuddly figure, the female dog resembles a Labrador. Masha walks very well on the leash. The dear female dog was born in October 2021 and is 55 cm tall. She is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Prior to travel arrangements, she will receive a blood quick test. She is ready to travel and could leave with the next transport of ITV Grenzenlos. On 09.05.2026, Masha moved to her new young family in Isernhagen. There she was greeted by two large Bernese Mountain Dogs. Before the male dogs, she was frightened. Her family is very experienced with dogs and will now carefully introduce the two dogs to each other. At home, there is plenty of space and a huge garden, so the dogs can keep their distance from one another. Masha walks well on the leash and also shows some respect for larger dogs while out and about. She still has a lot to learn but has been very fortunate and will soon feel content and at ease. About Masha ist vermittelt

What life with Masha ist vermittelt looks like

Masha ist vermittelt is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at ITV Grenzenlos e.V. in Essel.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Masha ist vermittelt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Masha ist vermittelt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ITV Grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Masha ist vermittelt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Masha ist vermittelt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ITV Grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Masha ist vermittelt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Masha ist vermittelt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ITV Grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Masha ist vermittelt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
