2 years | 38 kg | approx. 55 cm | At our shelter on Rhodes, our cute Mateo seems to be a Shar Pei mix. But one never knows for sure with shelter dogs 😉 His bulky head makes us think so. He has lived in the animal shelter on Rhodes since puppyhood and has therefore not had any bad experiences yet. He is initially a bit reserved around people. Once he has won their trust, his curiosity takes over and he shows his open and friendly nature. Then he loves being scratched. More than cuddling with people, he loves his food, so he forgets everything around him. And in line with the motto: Sharing is caring, he shares his food with both humans and animals without showing any food jealousy. He has probably put on a few extra kilos, but has lost some weight. So it's time for him to find people who take him for nice walks and keep him active. He gets along very well with other dogs and shows no problems with both male and female dogs. He has already been introduced to cats. A cat-free household would be better here, as he was not enthusiastic about the other species. He is simply a laid-back and friendly dog who enjoys a lot of attention from people. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and in possession of an EU pet passport. 2 Jahre | 38 kg | ca. 55 cm | Im Tierheim auf Rhodos Unser hübscher Mateo scheint ein Shar Pei Mix zu sein. Aber so ganz weiß man das ja bei Tierheimhunden nie 😉 Sein bulliger Kopf lässt uns das vermuten. Er lebt seit Welpenalter Tierheim auf Rhodos und hat daher bisher keinerlei schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Menschen gegenüber ist er zunächst ein wenig zurückhaltend. Hat man aber einmal sein Vertrauen gewonnen, siegt seine Neugier und er zeigt sein offenes und zutrauliches Wesen. Dann liebt er es gekrault zu werden. Noch mehr als das Kuscheln mit Menschen liebt er sein Futter, da vergisst er alles um sich herum. Und ganz nach dem Motto: Sharing is caring, teilt er sein Futter trotzdem und zeigt keinerlei Futterneid bei Mensch und Tier. Er hat sicherlich noch ein paar Kilo zu viel, jedoch schon etwas abgenommen. Es wird also Zeit, dass er Menschen findet, die mit ihm auf schöne Spaziergänge geht und ihn in Bewegung halten. Mit anderen Hunden versteht er sich sehr gut und zeigt keinerlei Probleme. Sowohl mit Rüden als auch mit Hündinnen. Mit Katzen wurde er bereits bekannt gemacht. Hier wäre ein Katzenfreier Haushalt besser, da er nicht begeistert von der anderen Spezies war. Er ist einfach ein gemütlicher und freundlicher Hund, der unheimlich die Aufmerksamkeit von Menschen genießt. Er ist kastriert, geimpft, gechipt und im Besitz eines EU-Heimtierausweises.
