When we started checking the flooded yards after the dam burst, I thought I heard a barely noticeable whining. The sound was muffled, and I couldn't understand where it was coming from for a long time. Until I noticed that behind a piece of cloth nailed to the wall were doors leading to a small annex. The room was flooded almost up to the ceiling. On top of the shelf, in the narrow space under the roof, was Matrang. He was growling out of fear, and next to him was a soaked hen... The owners had locked him in, depriving him of any chance of rescue. If it hadn't been for that quiet whining, he would already be dead. Matrang has received treatment. His ear was severely torn before the flood, and due to the dirty water, a terrible infection and bacterial infection developed. He also had pneumonia. The boy is thin, but we will fix that. He is cautious towards people - selective, allowing hardly anyone close. And after what he has been through, this is entirely understandable. As of February 2026, the puppy needs help; staff at the animal shelter noticed issues with his ear that worry him. During a veterinary examination, a tumor in the ear was found, which requires surgical intervention and removal. Estimated cost of treatment: 29,000 UAH. Updated information as of 24.02.2026: A series of diagnostics were performed for the operation. Matrang was found to have dirofilariasis, which significantly increases the risks and complicates the operation of removing the tumor, taking into account the dog's age. Over the next three weeks, Matrang will undergo a course of treatment directly at the animal shelter. After the end of the therapy, we will conduct follow-up tests, and based on the results, the veterinarians will again consider the possibility of surgical intervention.

Аж поки не помітила, що за прибитою до стіни тканиною ховаються двері до невеликої прибудови. Кімната була затоплена майже до самої стелі. На вершині шафи, у вузькому просторі під дахом, сидів Матранг. Він гарчав від жаху, а поряд із ним тулилася змокла курка... Господарі замкнули його, позбавивши будь-якого шансу на порятунок. Якби не те тихе скавучання, він би вже був мертвий. Матранг пройшов лікування. Його вушко було сильно роздерте ще до потопу, а через брудну воду почалося страшне загноєння та бактеріальна інфекція. Також він переніс пневмонію. Хлопець худуватий, але це ми виправимо. До людей він ставиться з обережністю — вибірковий, підпускає до себе далеко не кожного. І після того, що він пережив, це зовсім не дивно. Станом на Лютий 2026 року, песик потребує допомогу, працівники притулку помітили проблеми з вушком, які його турбують. Під час огляду лікаря виявлено пухлину в усі, яка потребує оперативного втручання та видалення. Орієнтовна вартість лікування: 29 000 грн. Оновлена інформація станом на 24.02.2026: Було проведено ряд діагностики для проведення операції. У Матранга виявлено дирофіляріоз, що значно підвищує ризики та ускладнює проведення операції з видалення пухлини, враховуючи вік собаки. Протягом наступних 3 тижнів Матранг проходитиме курс лікування безпосередньо в притулку. Після завершення терапії ми проведемо повторні аналізи, за результатами яких лікарі знову розглянуть можливість оперативного втручання.
