Belgian Malinois · Male · Young · 1 year

Max ID No.: 1047755 Breed: Malinois-German Shepherd mix Age: *approx. 12/2025 Sex: male Shoulder height: still growing Neutered: No Location: Marbella (Spain) Inquiry form Max – a little survivor with incredible resilience Meet Max, Sammy, Harry, Poppy, and Roxy! This sweet litter—two boys (Max and Harry) and three girls (Sammy, Poppy, and Roxy)—was surrendered to our partner shelter TripleA in Marbella in early February at just a few weeks old, severely underweight, frightened, and some with wounds. They were apparently found in the trash—a sad fate shared by many unwanted puppies. Fortunately, a loving and highly experienced foster home quickly stepped in for this lively little crew, where they’re now learning heaps and being prepared for life with their own forever families. Max, Sammy, Harry, Poppy, and Roxy are stunning Malinois-German Shepherd mixes; some display more classic German Shepherd traits, while others lean toward the spirited characteristics of the Malinois. Their unique personalities are emerging more each day. All five adore cuddling and show typical puppy playfulness, though it’s important to remember that, as working breeds, they’re naturally energetic dogs who need appropriate mental and physical stimulation. Max is a true little miracle—he’s made a full recovery after a serious battle with parvovirus. Although he’s still noticeably smaller than his siblings due to the illness, his resilience is astonishing. He’s a spirited little survivor who now eats heartily again and gains energy day by day. He loves playing with his siblings and exploring the garden at his foster home, but also passionately enjoys cuddling with his humans. He handles first outings into town and the woods wonderfully and has even passed his cat test with flying colors. This adorable quintet is now ready for their forever homes. Born around late December 2025, they’ll be available for travel starting late April. For the delightful Max, we’re seeking a loving home with people who understand that a puppy needs time, training, closeness, and consistent guidance. We hope for an active family—ideally with prior experience handling this breed—who will provide Max with both physical and mental engagement, and who want to explore the world and share many adventures together. Could you be that person? We’d love to hear from you! Max will travel vaccinated, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport. He will be prophylactically dewormed and treated for fleas prior to travel arrangements. Our puppies are rehomed exclusively under a spay/neuter agreement. Impfungen Ja Mittelmeercheck Nein Microchip Ja Krankheiten keine bekannt Anlagehund Nein Schutzgebühr 500 € inkl. About Max

What life with Max looks like

Max is a small young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Max, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Max?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Max on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Max if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Max already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Max isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Max and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
