Maya arrived at the animal shelter young, but it hasn't been possible to find a home for this kitten due to her shy and wild personality. Therefore, she remains a guest at the animal shelter in the "Cinzia Enclosure." Unfortunately, in 2020, she had to undergo surgery to amputate both ears because she developed a tumor. As a white-eared cat, she was at risk, especially since it was impossible to apply sunscreen due to her absolute reticence with people. Fortunately, Maya is doing well. We recommend consulting with your own veterinarian if you have a white cat or, more generally, a cat with white ears, which are particularly delicate and require special precautions. For Maya, we are only looking for distant adoptions (see the dedicated section, click DISTANCE ADOPTIONS). Maya è arrivata al rifugio giovane ma non è stato possibile trovare per questa gattina una casa dove vivere a causa del carattere diffidente e selvatico, quindi è rimasta ospite al rifugio, nel “Recinto Cinzia”. Purtroppo, nel 2020, ha dovuto subire un intervento chirurgico per amputare entrambe le orecchie poichè ha sviluppato un tumore, essendo una gatta con le orecchie bianche era a rischio, anche perchè è stato impossibile applicare protezioni solari visto la sua assoluta reticenza al rapporto con le persone. Fortunatamente Maya sta bene. Raccomandiamo di rapportarsi con il proprio veterinario a chiunque abbia un micio bianco, o comunque con le orecchie bianche che sono particolarmente delicate e necessitano di accorgimenti particolari.
