I am Maya, a little dog who arrived at the shelter with my friends Princess and Renaud after being evicted. Unfortunately, my owner is currently unable to care for me and had to give me up to the shelter. I am friendly, calm, and healthy, but I can be a bit fearful when I don't know someone, so I will need to be approached with gentleness and kindness and given some time to regain my confidence and avoid handling. I enjoy short walks with the volunteers during which I am calm. I get along with my fellow dogs, but I tend to be dominant, so it would be best if I were the only animal in the family (except for my friends Princess and Renaud, with whom I have grown up, although I sometimes tease them a bit 😉). I can live with children as long as they are calm and respect my need for peace and quiet. I am not used to being alone, so I will need some time to adjust and work on that in the beginning. I look forward to a visit soon, I deserve a happy ending surrounded by kindness and care!

Je m’appelle Maya, petite chienne arrivée au refuge avec mes copains Princesse et Renaud suite à une expulsion. Malheureusement ma maîtresse est dans l’impossibilité aujourd’hui de prendre soin de moi et a dû me céder au refuge. Je suis gentille, calme, en bonne santé, je peux me montrer un peu craintrive quand je ne connais pas il faudra donc m’aborder avec douceur et bienveillance et me laisser un peu de temps peu reprendre confiance et éviter les manipulations. J’apprécie les petites balades avec les bénévoles pendant lesquelles je suis calme. Je m’entends avec mes congénères mais je me montre plutôt dominante; il vaudrait donc mieux que je sois le seul animal de la famille (sauf mes copains Princesse et Renaud avec qui j’ai eu l’habitude d’évoluer même si je les embête un peu parfois 😉 ). Je peux vivre avec des enfants à condition qu’ils soient calmes et qu’il sachent respecter ma tranquilité. Je ne connais pas trop la solitude, il faudra donc me laisser un peu de temps et travailler dessus dans les premiers temps. A bientôt pour une visite, je mérite bien une belle fin de vie entourée de douceur et de bienveillance!
