Maya, a 1.5-year-old female, is looking for a new home. Maya was previously part of a group of three. After my older Degu lady passed away due to old age, she had a fight with her sister, leaving her as the only one remaining. She currently has superficial injuries from the fight, which I am treating. I have also contacted our veterinarian. Once the wounds heal, I would like to give her to experienced hands. The little lady is quite tame and curious. In the group, she was always calm and reserved, enjoyed cuddling with her friends, and grooming them. I have assessed her as not being very dominant. She is very reserved around us, but comes running when food is offered. She doesn't really like being touched. Maya will be adopted for a small deposit and with a pet adoption contract. It is very important to me that she goes to a home with experience in socialization, as the mood can change quickly. I would be happy to bring Maya to her new home up to 40 km away, so I could also check out the home, otherwise I would do a pre-check via video call. Note from DHS: Since Maya is currently in her teenage phase, we recommend socializing her with a 2.5 to 3.5-year-old animal that has already passed its teenage phase. Maya, weiblich, 1,5 Jahre alt sucht ein neues Zuhause. Maya war bis vor Kurzem noch Teil einer 3er Gruppe. Nachdem meine ältere Degudame altersbedingt starb, hat sie sich mit ihrer Schwester so zerstritten, dass nun nur noch sie übrig ist.Durch den Kampf hat sie zur Zeit noch oberflächliche Verletzungen, die ich aber versorge. Unser Tierarzt wurde ebenfalls kontaktiert. Sobald die Wunden verheilt sind, würde ich sie gerne in erfahrene Hände abgeben. Die kleine Dame ist recht zahm und neugierig. In der Gruppe zeigte sie sich bisher immer ruhig und zurückhaltend, kuschelte gerne mit ihren Freundinnen und putzte sie. Ich habe sie als eher nicht dominant eingeschätzt. Uns gegenüber ist sie sehr zurückhaltend, bei Futter kommt sie aber sofort angerannt. Angefasst werden mag sie nicht wirklich. Maya wird gegen eine eine kleine Schutzgebühr und mit einem Tierabgabevertrag vermittelt. Mir ist es ganz wichtig, dass sie in ein Zuhause mit Vergesellschaftungserfahrung kommt, da die Stimmung anscheinend sehr schnell kippen kann. Ich würde die kleine Dame bis zu 40 km in ihr neues Zuhause bringen, so könnte ich mir das Zuhause auch anschauen, ansonsten würde ich die Vorkontrolle über einen Videoanruf machen.
