Meet Maya! We gave her that name, we don't know what her name was before. Her story is now commonplace, but no less tragic. Maya's first owner died at the beginning of the war and she was taken in by a neighbor who already had many adopted kittens. Later, the village was completely evacuated, the neighbor's house, like many others in that village, was destroyed. So Maya and other rescued kittens ended up under our care. Now the cat needs long, painful and expensive treatment. The first is a terrible inflammation in the oral cavity and the terrible condition of her teeth, which need to be removed. At the moment, the cat is painful to eat and she has started to lose weight. The second is sick paws, the girl is painful to walk, it hurts even when you just touch her paws. We don't know exactly how to treat this yet, but it is clear that if nothing is done, the condition will worsen. Estimated cost of treatment 13,000 UAH. Updated Information as of February 2026. After completing treatment, Maya returned to the shelter, after some time, she developed symptoms of a stomach disease, after a doctor's examination and tests, gastroenterocolitis and triaditis were detected.
