How do I contact the shelter about MCnugget?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Zwerfpoezen Rupelstreek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MCnugget on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt MCnugget if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Zwerfpoezen Rupelstreek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is MCnugget already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if MCnugget isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Zwerfpoezen Rupelstreek early rather than rehoming privately; they know MCnugget and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

McNugget and McFlurry are two sensitive souls looking for a quiet, patient home where we can blossom at our own pace. I, McNugget, am an uncertain little guy. People sometimes find me a bit intimidating, but with tasty treats, I dare to come closer. Very carefully, you can sometimes touch me. Despite my doubts, I like to be around you. If we build a bond, I'll follow you all day like I'm your little shadow. I love playing, and the company of my best friend McFlurry makes me very happy. I, McFlurry, am a bit more timid than Nugget. I observe everything from a distance first and then decide if I come closer. But if you trust me, you can definitely touch me. Sometimes in the evening, I'm open to a cuddle session, then I relax and enjoy the soft attention. We are looking for a home together where understanding, patience, and love are central. We are not cats that immediately jump into your arms, but with time, respect, and a quiet environment, we become two loyal, sweet housemates who quietly conquer your heart. Interested in adopting me? Then fill out this short questionnaire quickly! NOTE: We may not answer immediately, but we will always respond! Also check your spam! About MCnugget

What life with MCnugget looks like

MCnugget is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Zwerfpoezen Rupelstreek in PUURS-SINT-AMANDS.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.
