Found in: Balchik, Bulgaria Mecho was kept on a short chain, and his owner beat him regularly. One day he broke free and ran off with his collar on, dragging the chain behind him. He ran for miles and reached a quiet place where a woman saw him. She petted him, removed the heavy chain, and gave him a treat. He had nothing. He lay down in front of their door and waited to see her again. He could hear their dogs running and playing inside and secretly hoped that one day he too would have a home like that, with a yard, and be loved. Unfortunately, a lady with a small child lives in the neighboring house, and they are afraid of Mecho. He doesn't bother them, but his appearance is quite intimidating. After a report to the municipality, Mecho was taken to a shelter. Since the shelter was a temporary solution, we decided to bring him back and look after him in front of our cat house, free. And he was so happy that we took care of him. Every day he gets delicious food, clean water, and lots and lots of cuddles. Hera became his inseparable friend. But on the day Hera was abducted, Mecho was the next one at risk. He is a big softie. He goes up to everyone, and anyone can catch him. That is why we have decided that Mecho should come into our yard and an end to his free wandering. He is about 1.5–2 years old. Neutered. Incredibly good-natured, with the soul of a baby. He has grown used to being hugged and loved. We are looking for a home for Mecho where he will receive the same.
